Good News

We got our test results back yesterday from the 1st Trimester Early Screening for chromosome abnormalities. Just as we had suspected and prayed, the test results are NORMAL. In fact, they are better than normal. At my age, the "average" person has approximately a 1/1,000 risk of having a baby with Down Syndrome. Based on the ultrasound measurements and laboratory results that were taken last week, they were able to determine that we actually have a 1/10,000 risk of having a baby with Down Syndrome, Trisomy 18, or Trisomy 13. No further testing is necessary. We are so blessed!
