32 WEEKS PREGNANT

Pregnancy photo #8, October 13th, 32 weeks and 1 day.

My pregnancy continues to fly by. In roughly 8 weeks Samuel will be here and Jimmie and I couldn’t be more excited…and anxious.

Our 32 week check-up was on October 6 with Dr. Burchell. Samuel’s heartbeat continues to sound perfect and his heart rate was 142. My urinalysis was normal and my uterus continues to measure on target. My weight was up 1.8 pounds, which was great news for me. I have cut out a lot of sweets the past month and it definitely shows! Going forward, our appointments will be every 2 weeks.

Overall, I continue to feel really good. I have had a few episodes of nausea the past month, but nothing significant. It typically subsides as soon as I eat a snack. I have been experiencing a lot of stomach cramping in my upper abdomen that is quite uncomfortable. Apparently, it is my abdominal muscles being stretched by this growing boy! Sadly, my insomnia is back. I am not getting much sleep at night and what little I do is interrupted by very frequent restroom breaks. Additionally, it’s getting more difficult to breathe when I lie flat. Jimmie has been sleeping with earplugs because I breathe so heavily when I sleep. I get out of breath just by walking across the room. The heartburn continues but is still very manageable. My appetite remains normal and my stomach is getting huge!!!

Tailgating at the Bengals game.....
The games are just as fun as they always were but far more exhausting for me. It would be so much more enjoyable without this heat!

Enjoying the day at Huber's Orchard with the family.....

My first baby shower was held on October 9 and it was wonderful to celebrate Samuel's upcoming arrival with so many friends. A huge thank you to Anna and Brandy for hosting the shower!
